Annual members assembly of the German Roasters’ Guild at Giesen Coffee Roasters

Share Post:

Last Monday and Tuesday, 6 and 7 February 2017, about 120 persons attented the annual members assembly of the German Roasters Guild carried out at our company.

New building

The event took place in our newly purchased factory hall, an address on the Industrieweg in Ulft, several yards away from our extant company address. In order to present it to our guests, we’ve renovated and decorated it. This was not possible without the help of our employees from every department of the company.

The programme

The Roasters’ Guild programme consisted of the traditional topics of Roasters’ Guild members’ assemblies: discussing its’ current vision and mission, its’ updated website, year review and future ambitions. This is the first time the members’ assembly lasted for two days, and included interactive workshops as well. These workshops consisted of coffee roasting, roastprofiles, blind tasting, and communications.

On Monday afternoon we found the time to show our guests around our factory. We started out in the weldery, where the very foundation of our machines is made. Then we continued to the painting room, where the machines are made presentable, and we concluded in the assembly hall, where our machines are given their final touch. Here we enjoyed a short coffee break, during which we were also able to show our guests around our showroom.
