Say hello to one of our clients from Oxford: Jericho Coffee Traders. They have two premises both in Oxford UK. Besides that, they also own a Vespa 3-wheeler for mobile events, and recently, they’ve got their own Giesen roaster. Let’s get to know them.

Name: James
Surname:Armitage
Company name: Jericho Coffee Traders
Giesen Coffee roaster type:W15A in bright turquoise!
Country:Oxford, UK.

Client spotlight: Jericho Coffee Traders

Company mission: ‘Do good things, have some fun, and create beautiful coffee.’

The biggest advantage of the roaster: ‘The increased batch size is fantastic! We’d got to the point of putting potential wholesale customers on a waiting list for our capacity to become available. Besides that, we love the Giesen connectivity to our sample roaster. We can simply transfer the desired profile from our sample roaster through to our Giesen which then roasts a production batch to perfection.’

Favorite bean: ‘A high scoring, perfectly roasted and perfectly brewed cup of anything! All coffees have a place in my heart. My origin of preference evolves with the time of day and also the month of the year. Keep it fresh and interesting!’

The best thing about your job: ‘The beautiful people I work with. I go to work to create and drink amazing coffee! How can that not be fun!?’

Motto: ‘Always loyal!’

Tip for other entrepreneurs/ roasters:  ‘Stay connected to the coffee! It’s so easy to get drawn into packaging, marketing, compliance, business development, admin, etc. Just make sure you’ve still got time in your day to hang out with your coffee.’

‘Besides that: Have fun with awesome people and focus on your patch. In an increasingly competitive field, it can become too tempting to look at what others are doing. Just control what you can control.’
