A festive start of 2017: Giesen’s 10-year anniversary!

Share Post:

Last week the Giesen Coffee Roasters team kicked off the new year; after enjoying a week off we are up and running again! Although the holidays are over, we are starting the year with a festive mindset, Giesen Coffee Roasters celebrates its’ ten-year anniversary! This milestone calls for a wave of inspiration and new ideas, and also allows us to look back on ten great years of doing what we love to do: providing you with a high quality coffee roaster, designed according to your own personal preferences.

The very beginning

In 2006 we started out as a small-scale producer of metal ware, specialized in coffee roaster compartments. After having done this for a long time, we decided to pursue the rapidly growing specialty coffee market ourselves, and we started Giesen Coffee Roasters with the introduction of the W6A in 2006. One year later we created the W1A and W15A, in order to provide different batch sizes.

Our growth in ten years

The development of our machines was within our control; our own growth is what we ourselves are still amazed by. Where in 2006 our factory spanned 1.347 square meters, currently it spans 6.500 square meters! Not just the terrain, but also the Giesen team has expanded greatly. In the very beginning 9 people operated this business, whereas today our team contains 90 people!

Ambitions

With regard to the future, we stick to our original approach: delivering a high quality machine, designed in accordance with the client’s wishes, delivered anywhere in the world. In addition to our current approach, we have comitted to visiting more trade fairs and demonstrating our product; in short: putting our product out there! Shortly we will publish more information about our presence at trade fairs.
